Contract 3:  Raw Water Pipeline

Contract No. 3 includes the construction of a 15.5-mile, 30-inch diameter pipeline from the Colorado River Intake & Pump Station (Contract 4) to the Raw Water Storage Reservoir (Contract 2).  The pipeline route will extend from the river intake and pump station, about 2 miles downstream of Longhorn Dam, through East Austin and eastern Travis County to Pflugerville.  The pipeline will cross 16 public roads and 9 major streams. 

Contract No. 3 was awarded to S.J. Louis Construction of Texas, Ltd. on April 27, 2004 for the amount of $8,085,940.60.  The schedule for completion is 365 days from the date of Notice to Proceed.
